4 Days Kenya’s Golden Safari Circuit – Rift Valley Lakes & the Wild Mara
A short but powerful safari that combines flamingo-fringed Rift Valley lakes and the legendary Masai Mara. Perfect for travellers who want an intense wildlife experience in just four days, with culture, comfort and big-game viewing.
Day-by-Day – 4 Days Kenya’s Golden Safari Circuit
Start at Lake Nakuru National Park, a rhino and bird sanctuary, then dive into the iconic plains of the Masai Mara. Travel in a custom 4×4 Safari Land Cruiser with unlimited game drives and a Maasai village visit.
Scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with stops at viewpoints. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for flamingo-lined shores, prolific birdlife and both white & black rhinos. Afternoon game drive across woodlands, open savannah and the lakeshore, searching for buffalo, warthog, Rothschild’s giraffe and possibly elusive leopards and tree-climbing lions.
After breakfast, drive via rolling farmlands and Masai homesteads to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive for lunch, then head out on an afternoon game drive. The Mara is home to the Big Five and vast herds of plains game – the perfect golden-hour introduction to Kenya’s most famous reserve.
Early-morning game drive when predators are active. Spend the day exploring the Mara: elephant families in marshes, cheetahs scanning the plains, giraffes browsing acacias and more. During the Migration (Jul–Oct), the reserve becomes the stage for the Great Wildebeest Migration and dramatic Mara River crossings.
Later, visit a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural encounter – song, dance and storytelling that adds depth to your safari experience.
Enjoy a sunrise game drive to catch the morning rhythm of the bush. After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for onward travel.
